Kenny Walsh from Pretoria

John 15:5 NIV – I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Schools are places of learning and excellence where young people go to realise potential and passion in many spheres of life. When a school creates an encouraging, but challenging, environment where students are guided through these spheres by wise counsel, they flourish.

The danger that we as people, whatever our age, face is that we can see our relationship with God and ministry as something to be achieved, like a school activity. Knowing Jesus is knowing the God of the universe; the one who makes stars and humans alike. He is our Shepherd and we lack nothing outside of Him. Without Him, we can do nothing worthwhile.

In meeting with leaders of SCA’S, chaplains, teachers and SUSS Volunteers this year, I hear a deep desire to serve God and build His Kingdom in Pretoria. What gets me so excited is that this desire is prefaced with a desire to know God and rely on Him to carry out the work of the heart in people that only He can do.

With Unity coming up on the 14th of March and the Volunteers Training happening soon after that, I know that God will draw His children to Himself and that the result of this will be amazing fruit of the Kingdom in the schools of Pretoria.

The start of March sees me stepping down from my ministry with SUIS. I am humbled to have seen God move in people’s hearts over the past four years. Please pray with me for the volunteers who serve God in SUSS PTA.

May they bear much fruit in His name out of His strength.

Praise God, I am marrying the love of my life Kathleen Hohls on the 9th of April! Keep us in your prayers too.

Yours in Christ, Kendrick
